So I know that horses are bred for spacific disciplines dressage jumper reining barrels ect.

But for those horses that are just horses do you think that they like one discipline over another?

I know that Target loves to jump but I find that he seems to have alot more fun and patients for barrel training.

Century loves to turn those barrels and weave the poles...She would go so excited at the sight of one of those obstacles...they didn't even have to be set up in a pattern....One reason trail class wasn't a great one for her...She would go over the bridge and other obstacles..But the minute she caught a glimpse at a barrel (even set up for a back through) she would start chomping at the bit and doing her jig...It's like you could hear her saying 'Let me at them'

Century also loves to jump..she got the same rush like feeling in between fences...that same 'let me at it' attitude

She was far from breed specific to anything...Just an all round good pony that would do anything you asked of her..But her heart was definately in the turnin' and burnin'

I have also seen horses breed specific for one discipline, yet fail at it only to exceed in another...

I personally believe breed specific only goes so far..It is a definate advantage however not a guarantee....

i come from a long line of neat freaks...I am not one of them..so I guess I am not breed specific...hahahahaha...But unlike my heritage or blood lines I love animals..another trait not found in my family...I think the same goes for horses or any living thing
