PostSubject: Horse trailer question   Sat Aug 22, 2009 11:40 pm

Since I just got my very own two horse trailer, I have a few questions.

When I am taking just one horse, what side should I put the horse on? Left or Right?

What do you use to tie your horse up with in the trailer? I bought a bungy cord like thing with two clips.

Do you tie both sides of the halter or only one side?

When hauling one horse, load the horse on the driver's side. When hauling two horses, load the heaviest horse on the driver's side. When I tie I just use an actual trailer tie to snap them on. Just snap one tie to the halter.

I load like shelley one horse it is on the drivers side. I've been told this because if anything happend and the horse is on the other side and a wheel hits the road shoulder with all the weight on the right side it can flip pretty easily. I use trailer ties in my trailer. I hate bungy anything for horses they are useless they stretch out if a horse pulls on then and when tied the horse doesn't have to learn to stand they can still move around
