Rules and Regulations

1. No disrespect will be shown to employees/volunteers of GHRC, judges, fellow competitors or any horse or pony while on property.
2. Registration office will be opened the night before the show from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and again the morning of the show from 7:00am to 8:45am. Deadline for entries will be the Thursday before the show date. Post entries will be accepted after the deadline for an additional fee. The show will start at 9:00am.
3. Post entries will close at the beginning of the class preceding the class being entered.
4. Show is as per CEF rules, however this is not a sanctioned show, therefore the ruling of the judge is final.
5. Entry fees of 80% will be reimbursed where a veterinarian’s certificate stating the horse can not compete or it is a ruling of the show committee. All refunds will be mailed.
6. Green classes are walk /trot/jog ONLY. Anyone entered in green classes may not be entered in any other regular classes with the exception of showmanship.
7. Youth riders are riders 18 years old and younger as of Jan. 1st of the current year and must wear an approved helmet with a fixed harness while mounted anywhere on the property of GHRC.
8. Any horse that is 5 years old or younger may be ridden in a snaffle bit and two handed.
9. All patterns will be posted the morning of the show, one hour before the fist class starts.
10. High-point for English is any combination of 4 classes. Showmanship, Pleasure, Equation, Command, Road Hack or Over fences. High-point will be giver in both Jr. & Sr.
11. High-point for Western is any combination of 4 classes. Showmanship, Pleasure, Equation, Command, Reining, or Trail. High-point will be given in both Jr. & Sr.
12. In a case of a tie in the high-point divisions, high-point will go to the entry with the most first place ribbons.
