My 4-H light horse club would like to make cooling blankets as our winter project. but we are unsure of what material to use.... if you have any ideas it would be of great help. we have a pattern but not sure what to use. Any ideas??

yep. polar fleece. it doesn't need to be hemmed - just cut the shapes you want and voila!
