In all my years around horses, I have only ever found out the weight of a horse by using a weight tape. Just because we never had access to a digital scale to compare.
Some one told us the weight of a young horse and said it weighed way more then we thought it could be. But they should have access to digital scales, since they are on a cattle feed lot.
For those of you, who have used both a weight tape and a digital scale, how close are the two?
Maybe weight tapes are inaccurate? I am not looking to find a horse's weight down to the pound, just a general overall weight.
