| Alrighty!! We are LIVE!! And back for the THIRD year in a row! Here is the link: http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=meadowbrook (During the night Kallie will be in the stall to the left of the green gate and Dessi will be in the stall to the right) Don't be surprised if you don't see them in the stall during the days if it is nice out, they still has access to a shared paddock, so during the day they can come and go as they pleases. Kallie's Info: Yellow Mount F W S, 'Kallie', is a 14-year-old Bay Tobiano APHA mare. This will be her 8th foal (so far she has had 2 Sorrel Tobianos, 2 Bay Tobianos, 1 Black Tobiano and 2 Red Dun Tobiano), but this is only her second foal with me. I don't know any thing about the signs she showed for the first 5 foals, but for the last one she carried 10 days past her due date, held the baby up high and tight (barely looked pregnant) the whole time, and didn't develop an udder until shortly before foaling. Then two years ago she followed a MUCH different trend! She started building an udder on April 8th, and April 29th was the first sign of wax. Just the tinyest amount on her left teat, and then she had her foal on May 8th (exactly a month after starting to bag up). This year she started to bag up March 14th - exactly one month before her due date, and seems to be following the same trend as she did with the last foal she had. The color possibilities are as follows, Kallie is Homozygous for the Tobiano gene: 43.75% - Buckskin Tobiano 43.75% - Bay Tobiano 6.25% - Smoky Black Tobiano 6.25% - Black Tobiano Dessi's Info: Dougs Roses, 'Dessi', is a 7-year-old Palomino AQHA mare. This will be her 3rd foal (so far she has had 1 cremello and 1 chestnut), but this is only her second foal with us. I don't know any thing about the signs she showed for the first foal, but for the last one she carried 10 days past her due date, she showed first signs of udder development a month before she foaled, slowly building up, she never waxed, or leaked milk, but the morning/day before the night she foaled she couldn't stand still, she trotted around and aroun and around her paddock. Very agitated. This year she started to bag up March 21st - so she might be right on track for another 10 day late foal! The color possibilities are as follows: 37.50% - Buckskin 18.75% - Perlino 18.75% - Bay 12.50% - Smoky Black 6.25% - Smoky Cream 6.25% - Black ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Many of you will recognize the stallion she has been bred to: Salty Hobby Boy better known as "Rocket", a 1997 buckskin stallion. He stands 15.2 hh, and is 1200 lbs; he is a big strong horse with impeccable manners and disposition. He belongs to High Meadow Quarter Horses (http://highmeadowqhs.tripod.com) who have been using MareStare for a quite a few years now! . The extra eyes are greatly appreciated especially at night! I will post many updates on her behaviour and changes in her body as time goes on! Thanks for watching! Now some pictures for your viewing pleasure . . . Kallie: Dessi: Rocket:

| We are still fighting with the cameras a bit something is going wonky with them when the sun starts to go down - heading out now to turn on the lights so they should get better :) | |

| Yeah the cameras have IR sensors on them so when the natural light begins to fade the IR kicks in and it seems to be washing out the picture, so I've begged my lovely boyfriend to turn the lights on when he gets home from work at around 5pm so it shouldn't be an issue!
And yes poor Kallie does look rather wide!! Probably cooking up another big baby just like Tru ;)

| Looks like there is a cobweb growing on one of the cameras! That's the only new addition in the stall that I see! | |

| Just wanted to let everyone know that Kallie is dripping milk as of this morning, so keeping an extra close eye on her now just incase she wants to do something funky during the day! I was supposed to go to work but too kthe day off so that I could keep an eye on her incase she starts streaming milk so that I can catch it and freeze it! Don't want all that colostrum going to waste! | |

| I noticed the last two days that she is holding her tail differently too and moving her legs. Adjusting for comfort!
This baby is gonna be a beauty no matter how you look at it! I can't wait to see it!

| Well that was a stressful morning! Dessi was showing now real signs of foaling then BAM when into labor.
She had a "Red Bag Delivery" which is where the placenta detaches too early, cutting-off oxygenated blood to the foal. Dessi was in distress, but I was able to cut the sac and help get the foal out of there PRONTO on vets advice, the vet was out shortly later to check on mom and baby and gave us the thumbs up for some quick thinking. I had to use a turkey baster to suck fluid from the foals nose and mouth. THANKFULLY both mom and baby are doing fine, thank goodness for marestare! He is a STRONG buckskin colt with a big white blaze!
