Rankins Gold Celtic Rose (AKA Rosie) was put to rest Wednesday morning. She was 14 - would have been 15 in July. We were in Niagara Falls when she took a turn for the worst. I have the very best neighbours in the world. They kept her comfortable and treated her like the queen she was until I could get home. They felt she was hanging on until she could say goodbye. I miss her very much - she was my shadow. But I am also thankful that I was able to keep my promise to her to not let her suffer in her old age. She's one Bleeding heart of a dog!

I'll post pictures later as a little tribute to her. Things have been just a wee bit hectic since I got home midnight on Tues. Just wanted to let everyone know.

I was wonderign how you guys were doing today. Loosing a beloved pet takes so much out of you. It always makes me think twice everytime I bring another into my life. Then I think about all the wonderful times and memories I would be missing out on without them. Rosie was a great companion to you. I have the image of her from a video you posted a while ago in the areana trying to keep up with you and Stretch going in circles. She seemed like a determined ole gal :)

So sorry about Rosie Tammy. I had put to rest my spaniel 4 years ago ( she was 12 and had breast cancer). It was the hardest thing I had to do. Thought and Hugs to you, Gord and Kayla.

So sorry for your loss! She was such a sweet looking old girl. My Dalmatians will be 11 this fall, and I can't imagine what it will be like when we loose them. :(
