PostSubject: ridding excersizes?   Sat Jul 09, 2011 6:44 pm

Hi guys, Training with my guy has been going great, but hes been doing this weird thing, sometimes when ridding along the rail it feels like he shifts his body sideways, with his head out towards the rail, but still stays going straight. I've been trying to correct it and he doesn't do it so much anymore but I just wanted to know why hes been doing this and a proper way to correct it.

Hey Heather :)
my old gelding used to do this....he had a natural counter-bend, and would pop his hip out sometimes while riding along the rail. it was annoying, and kind of hard to fix. I guess the main thing is to really work on straightness. do a lot of bending to the inside and forcing him to keep his hip out towards the rail... might help!
