Moonshadows daughter Becky was rushed back to hospital.......She is in Amherst ICU.....her potasium levels were way out of whack. Diana says she was stablized somewhat last night.....but sure would appreciate some magic Healing Vibes and Prayers.

Hey Diana, got an update on our girl

Thanks so much all for the well wishes, prayers and vibes. Just a short up date. She will be staying in the ICU for at least a week, while they try and solve some medication issues, that brought on this last serious heart issue. She is one lucky girl. She is now feeling up to taking a shower. She may have some up and down days ahead, until they can figure out the magic combo and doses with her meds.

My thoughts and prayers are headed to Beck and her family... HUGS

Hey Jorgia, she is in "your" ICU.. pop up and see her if you get a free moment. Shes bored. lol

Plan is to head in today to visit with her.. will up date later.

I didn't get down to see her tonight until after she was asleep but I took her a little "something" that might cheer her up "chocolate" haha..

Jorgia, I am sure she will be very appreciative of the "chocolate fairy"..lol Be just like the tooth fairy, only wake up to chocolate..lol

She is doing pretty good, she is having to wait for a proceedure ( Pic line) that is scheduled for Friday am., in Moncton. Then I hope it will only be a few more days in Amherst, and she will be able to come home.

Way to go Jorgia..I'm sure the surprise will cheer her up no end. Pic line and then maybe home Diana....is that what you are saying???? have they figured out her Potasium level

Thats what I'm hoping. Well they have figured out what I already knew.. we will have to monitor her POT levels daily.. much the same as a diabetic or someone on warafarin. If it goes up, she pops one kind of med, and lowers another,.. then when it goes down, she stops another med and ups her pot supplements.. not going to be easy, but necessary.
She will have to have blood work done on a regular bases.. at least 2 times a week.. hense the pic line, as her veins are starting to break down. If I understand correctly, the lab will call her directly with the blood results. The episode that landed her there could have been avoided, had we been contacted immediately with her results. Instead it went thru her GP, who didn't get the result till the next day.. by that time she was already admitted into ICU. When that blood work was taken on thurs. morning, it was high normal.. We were still treating her for too low..
Too bad there is not a test at home kit.. lol..


I will have to say, for the most part she is getting dynamite care in the Amherst ICU!! The nurses and Dr. have been awesome. I was impressed with the new hospital.

Good to hear that they are treating her well there.......thats a step up!!

Glad to hear the care is good! Poor Becky, I think about her a lot and send her good vibes whenever I do.

Well it was the least I could do, I sent her that with a little note so hopefully that helped cheer her up a bit today... As I said Diana if there's anything else just let me know!!!

And I'm glad she's getting great care for the most part the girls are great here!
