Ichthammol Ointment? My uncle just called me asking if I have ever used it or heard of it. So I googled it and it seems interesting. If you have used it, what for? How did it work? Positive or negative experiance??

I've used it for several things. It was given to me by my vet for a abcess, to draw out the infection and keep the flies off.
Its used on humans to for the same reason. Can be used on wounds for infection and to keep the flies off the wound.

I forgot to mention, its kindda gross looking, it is black and like a "Thick"onitment. It reminds me of tar. I have gotten it at the local pharmacy, no prescription needed but had to ask at the counter for it. It has always worked well for me.
My son had a deep splinter I put this on over night and the next day it was much easier getting the rest of that splinter out of his little finger.

Good luck with it :)
