Can anyone out there recommend a good (or even better...a great) barefoot trimmer in New Brunswick? Anyone have experience, either good or bad, with this type of hoof care? My horse has never been shod, but I am interested in the barefoot trim as opposed to the pasture trim he currently has. Thanks all :o)

BAREFOOT HORSEGIRL SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP, EITHER HERSELF, OR SOMEONE SHE KNOWS........ I have a barefoot trimmer come to my place......and she comes all the way up to cape breton from the valley.......she obviously has more than me to do.......scheduling quite a few on her trip............love it.......you have to have patience and give the foot a chance to heal....not everyone wants to wait.......folks generally look for a quick fix.......

I also recommend Barefoothorse girl....if she can't do it, she will know some one who can.
I get the EQ barefoot performance trim on my 3 beasts, and I highly recommend it. You also have to offer a more natural way of living to the horse to get the maximum from this trim. Just to short form a bit.. out 24/7 with access to hay and water. Hay placed around so they have to graze is preferable, varing footing.. crushed rock/gravel to grassy areas.. the more different terrians the better. Feeding as natural as possible.. most horses only need hay, water, and minerals.

Good luck finding a trimmmer... your horses will be so happy you did.

Don't be so tough to your girl!!!!Buy her some boots!!!It won't cost you too much.If you are too mean to buy Horseware Boots, you can buy some cheaper ones like Weatherbeeta Boots or Harrison Howard boots.Whatever,Do not leave her barefoot!!!!
