PostSubject: Question for those on the business side of things....   Thu Mar 15, 2012 3:32 pm

So, I am in the middle of preparing a business plan for my graduate business project.
For those of you who have started your own horse businesses, can someone give me a few of the general start-up costs involved? things such as:
Price of putting up an outdoor sand arena (post and rail fencing, 100' x 200')
Price of putting up an indoor arena (fabirc, probably 80' x 120')

Insurance costs, and anything else that might be useful for me to know. I am doing the financial section now..its killing me! It is based on a small-scale breeding facility, consisting of 1 stallion, and 3 broodmares, with the ability for expansion to include things like boarding and training. Thanks in advance!! any info helps :D

Have you tried calling some of your local contractors for quotes?
