Hi all...anyone out there have any opinions, good or bad, regarding plastic horse shoes? Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I always wanted to know about plastic shoes also. I think if I remember correctly we used them on our standardbreds years ago but can't remember anything about them except they came in some different colours. One of my mare's hooves breaks up and flares so I was thinking that plastic shoes would work. Enough protection without changing her way of going??

two that I have heard mentioned are Epona and Easywalkers...I know I read a testimonial from one of the ladies here on the Easywalker site..they sounded very interesting. I am still struggling with the "to shoe or not to shoe" dilema...if I decide to go with a shoe, I want to find out a little more about these as they sound like they MAY be an option. Oh, how I wish Boom could talk..lol

LBRanch has used the Easywalker's (I think was the brand) with great success on one or two of her horses, see if you can get a hold of her.

I used to use many brands like Weatherbeeta,Horseware,Harrison Howard and Native Pony. Now I find that Horseware is the best.
