Brainteaser --- please help!

I am trying to solve a brainteaser question and am having no success. I will give an example of one and the answer:

VISION VISION

Anwer -- double vision

The one I am stumped on is:


TTTTTTTIIIIIIIMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE
ABDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

-- some things I see in the above -- there are 7 T's / 7 I's / 7 M's / but 8 E's
-- the letter "C" is missing from the alphabet.

I'm thinking - A Long time......??

I looked and looked at this, no clue, and then when I was just typing it out here on the ME forum that I realized - heh, no "C" in the alphabet, still no clue.

(Just another example of that the ME people are always there when you need something)!

Is the middle one 'A pair of dice'? Still staring at the other two....

I have been staring too and think my eyes just crossed because it looks like the first one is "what goes up must come down"...is that right???? It starts at the double letters and if you read from the bottom left side up and then down the other side??

Way to go Freva! Now, the last one....hmmm....

The first one is:

as stated -- what goes up must come down

- next is as stated -- a pair of dice

-- I will give a clue to the third one --- where most of our textiles are created

If the hunter shot to the south , he could not hit the bear due to the fact that the bear ran to the west. Since there was no one else in the wasteland...apparently there should not have been another bear!!????????

This may help you: if the bear ran 3.14 times faster than the man (still westwards), the man could have shot straight in front of him, however for the body he would have to go to the south.
