They Both were sold to the first couple that came to look at them.

I'm looking for a home for two draft mares.
(they come from the farm I bought Sandy from)
NOT broke. I working with both for a while over a year ago.
they have ground work done and they might have been hooked up once or twice but I'm not too sure.
but they are young and are smart, calm, quiet and would LOVE a job,
right now they are fat.
and have not been handled much since spring.
These photos don't do much for the horses, its just to show you the basic look of them.
they do look 100% better. it was raining and messy out.

1. Dasiy
3 year old Pure Belgian.
VERY nice mare!
between 15.2-16.3 hands.
GREAT with other horses!

2. Megan
3-6 year old Mix draft (not too sure which ones)
A good mom, in 2008 threw a EXTREAMLY nice colt!!
Short and stocky.
15-16 hands.
got a nice thick neck
Likes to be the boss mare.
but is not likely to run horses as that would be too much work.
just kicks them if they get too close

I know these horses very well.
They are very clam and gentle to people.
But they have not had alot of work done with them.
They will come when called and follow you around.
and are very use to being with LOTS of other horses, mules, donkeys and cows. (even stud donkeys)

Daisy does need some work with getting on the trailer. as last time they tried I guess it did not go too well (I do not have details.) so would need a patience but firm hand to help her with that.

They are priced at 400$ OBO EACH as they are trying to see them move as soon as possible.

Their hooves are abit long, last time they where done (my guess) spring

PLease help me find a good home for these horses as the owner is thinking of shipping them up to a auction out west where they would go for meat!!

Sigh.

Hope they checked the references on that couple. If a horse is advertised at a very low cost, especially draft horses, there are people who will come to look at them and they'll seem like the nicest people in the world, and pretend to "want to give them a great home"... then they load them up and sell them to the slaughter truck. You gotta be really careful with cheap and free horses.

Heather I agree with HC

Do you know who too them and where they went.......Did they go to coal branch area by chance.
I know of a couple who just bought 2 draft horses and they are in stand up stalls in a garage and have no turn out pasture. Not very experienced horse people........I heard they got them recently and I certainly would have seriously looked into it.......But just too busy...

Please update

I would say thats is them.

she is keeping me informed on the training and so far I like how she is doing it. she is taking it nice and slow and carefull. you have to start training somewheres.
as afar as the no pasture thing. I do think they have alittle bit. And thats better then nothing.
some show horses never see a pasture. She takes them out alot to work with them.

I would rather them have gone there then shipped out west for meat. I'm happy.
I'm keeping a close eye on them and will visit when I have time.
The horses are being taken care of and not abused. thats all I'm asking for. even if its not somewheres with acres and acres of green pasture and top of the line stalls.
