Benson and I

Well I get to go back to Truro in 20 days and reunite with my lovely boy, so I figured Id start his blog, plus this forum needs more action!
I'll inform you all of Benson and what we've been doing since I had him.

Well hes 4 now, I've known him since he was a wee baby and I bought him as a Two year old as soon as I started University and shipped him from NL to NS. lol smart move right? best decision Ive ever made by far though. So He was hardly leadable at the time, and we had quite the fun trying to get him on the trailer to go to our boarding barn.

He now lunges well, is going great under saddle at w/j/l, holds frame when asked, is very supple and responsive to my leg, before I left NS we've been working on Bending and leg yeilding and he was doing very well. So when I return, first there will be lots of lunging to get him back in shape, I also want to really get him bombproofed, then we'll revisit what we've been doing before.
Now that hes a big boy I've have lots of plans for clinics and then shows, Its going to be a great summer.

Hey there kiddo.....whats been going on with you and Benson.......hows your training going........did you get to go to any summer shows yet.......come on.....fill us in......we really want to know.

oh we've been very busy! We've been to one show and he behaved well for that! since then we've started lessons to get him fine tuned on what I've taught him so far and to start on his maneuvers! leg yeilding is coming along and been working on his turns a bit.. we have another show at Central Nova in Truro again, pretty excited!
