Thought it would be neat for everyone to post photos of their pets.
Names:My dogs From left to right Abby (13 year old corgi X) Wilson (mentioned below), Polo's Jewell In the Nite aka Jewell (almost 14 year old Afghan Hound) and on top of the couch Jo-Jo (5 year old Yorkie-poo)
Abby is a great dog! she was everything we could have asked for when we were kids. She's a little lap dog with a huge heart.. we found her abandoned and frightened shaking under our car, no one claimed her. She has a breast lump but has had no side effects the past 2 years, I will miss her very much when her time comes! Jewell's brother "Polo's In the Air tonite" was number 1 Afghan hound on the show circuit in Canada and I believe in USA as well. Jewell was flown in to us at 3 years old from Surrey, BC. God love her, she isn't very bright. She is a couch patato and pigglet. She is starting to go down hill and it won't be long.. but she's had a wonderful life with us in NB! Jo-Jo is a barker, very loud, obnoxious and annoying but he is SO sweet loves to be loved and lives for that.
Name: Harvey
Age: 4 years & 3 months.
Description: Harvey acts like he is a supreme being.. the king of all cats. He enjoys jumping and climbing, you can often find him on top of the kitchen counters / above window panes eyeing everyone out. Although he acts like a royal, he also loves his cuddle time (when he wants it) loves to spend time with my other cat and often bathes him.. enjoys teasing the boxer dog and batting at him from under tables. Dreams of one day escaping into the outdoors and attempts all the time however is deathly afraid of cars. (no doubt due to one of his many escapes)
Name: Gixer (silly name... an ex named him after a motorcycle called the GSXR 1000)
Age: 3 years & 3 months
Description: Gixer is not your average cat. He is never "alert" like a normal cat. He doesn't have the best balance and isn't afraid of any dog regardless of its size. Gixer is a cuddle bug it is his favorite thing to do. I've never heard him hiss and he actually comes when called. Even non cat people love this cat.... He is a little simple, but we love him! :)
My favortie photo of the boys! Came down in the middle of the night and found them like this.
Name: Wilson (this is "my" first dog, the other 3 above are my parents dogs I grew up with!)
Breed: Boxer
Age: 1 year & 9 months
Description: Wilson is hilarious.. he is a very well mannered dog although he has obcessive compulsive disorder when it comes to certain things. Wilson loves to swim, which is an understatement... He jumps into the pool and uses a ladder, will go off the diving board if I do! Wilson has a grain intolerence so can't eat normal dog food. Super atheletic, a cuddle bug, and very smart. Wilson has to be kenneled during the day as the 1 (and only) day that he was not kenneled at 10 months old he jumped out my bathroom window (3rd floor) and managed to knock Harvey out as well. SOMEHOW all he did was fracture a toe, the cats face required stitches. His collar had broken off on the cement walkway.. so lucky he's alive. Suffers from seperation anxiety but with age it is much much better. Quietly waits in his kennel :) I love this dog SO much.
Name: Willow
Breed: Canadian X Quarter Horse
Height: 15.2hh
Age: 9 years and 3 months.
Color: dun
Description: Willow came into my life when she was 3. She and I worked very hard to get to where we are now, 6 years later. She has a very special place in my heart, and always will. She is very strong willed, yet so sensitive. She's willing to attempt anything I ask of her. Willow loves to eat (everything) She has a HUGE personality and is always getting into something. I can't imagine life without her.
My favorite photos of willow and I. (Taken by the fabulous Danique - Century Classic Photography - the above photo as well)
