| Wow, $6 to get into the Cape Breton Exhibition?? That's a little steep, anyone else think? I know it's been creeping up lately, but it seems like just yesterday that it was $2. I used to go 3-4 times through the week, but with Johnny and I that could add up to $48 just to get in the gate, not to mention the food we would buy while in there. I haven't gone yet this week and I miss it so much, but I just can't afford to spend much right now with no job :P I guess I'll go early Saturday and make a whole day of it. | |

| Cost $9 to get in to Old Home Week on PEI this week, $5 for kids, if they want to go on rides, $1.50 a ride coupon (minimum 3 per rides for the wee folk) bracelet days were Mon and Wed, and that was $25 each....pricey day if you want to take kids! And God forbid they want to eat...hubby and I went Friday night to watch the penning, it cost over $30...$18 to get in, 2 pop, 1 slice pizza and a bag of chips Enough to make us think twice about going back in to the races on Saturday :-( I think if they got rid of the entrance price, they would attract a whole lot more people on the grounds, and they would have more $$$ to spend on rides, food, etc. Guess we were posting at the same time! The race horse guys are po'd too...they had to pay this year....! | |

| i would imagine. we were there for 3 days straight, had to pay (bought passes), you even needed a pass to go feed the horses! i guess they used to give out passes to the exhibitors... no wonder the attendance is declining... at least with the drafts. | |

| Wow. I know that the organizations need to make money too, but I'm just bummed that I can't afford to go a few times this year! | |

| 25$ week pass and if you and Johnny want to go 3 times each, you can stamp the same ticket. That's what Dan and I did, much cheaper than spending 6$ a day! The prices there are very outrageous as compared to a few years ago, though, I agree. I've been bringing bagged lunches all week!
I'm heading over in a little bit, maybe I will see you there! | |
