| I got some from a dairy farm up here in Truro (Old Barns). It was late first cut, mostly timothy. My guys cleaned it right up and there was no mold. The bales are not wrapped individually though so you have to feed it within the week. I can find the phone number if you want it. | |

| Feed it in a week....Call me stunned but can you explain why? this is our first time ever feeding haylage...Does it mold quickly when exposed to air...is so I bet that is what happened to the stuff we just bought...It was cut off the roll (which was already opened when we bought it) We are presently stuck with about 1400lbs of moldy haylage... I would kinda hate to drive an hour for one bale of hay at a time...But you gotta do what ya gotta do....maybe we can pick one up on our way home from Cape Breton his weekend....Drop his number to me | |

| Yes, haylage is essentially fermented high moisture hay, made in the absence of oxygen. Once it's exposed to air it begins to decompose quickly especially in warm temperatures. If you can find the individually wrapped bales (they look like giant marshmallows ) then you could get a bunch at a time.
He had two numbers, I can't remember his name though, Bill maybe. 895-4004 or 897-5803 (cell) They are $40. | |
