I don't have new ones of Arizona or Harold. Ari is still out on winter pasture and harold is still out doing his job for the winter (guarding sheep)
here is sunny. out for the first time.
I rode Sunny last weekend for a short period of time. at first it was like getting on a 3 year old for the first time. he did not remember any cues. but once we got going it started to come back to him.
one of our llamas Mocha! my fave. she always runs over when I call her now.
Deer that was in the pasture.
I counted atleast seven that morning.
And of course can't leave Sandy out!
Sandy with her new show bridle on. got as a gift
Riding bareback. she was not herself that day. all she wanted to do was jog!!
My boss' pony (Jake) and a paint gelding he shares with a friend (Deacon)

I can't wait to get some weight on sunny. he is way too skinny for my like. I have a question though. is there a chance my donkey Harold could have bred Sandy? our pasture was not level at all. very hilly in some spots. its just that no one has seen her come in heat since summer. and while I was on her back she looked fatter then she has ever been. but you can still feel ribs. and she is not getting a lot of hay or grain. enough to keep her going but not enough to get this fat on. I don't really want/need a mule right now... :( or maybe I really lucked out and she has nice quite heats? I really hope she is not in foal...
haha the llamas are fun. these ones don't spit at humans. and don't bite. they are very timid. looking at them and they run away. but mocha. hehe. I'm the one feeding her most of the time so I have her taught to come when called and she gets a treat. but she has to go though getting a pat on the head too. she is too cute!

I would suggest getting the vet out right away if you are worried that your mare might have been bred, because you want to be able to prepare her body for it if she is. She is going to need a much higher level of nutrition in orer to help grow the mule foal inside especially over the last three months of gestation. It would also be nice to know if she was bred because then you would be able to get a rough idea from the vet when she was due and prepare a place for her to foal. If she ends up not being bred then you may be lucky, but where there is a will there is a way. I would also suggest getting your donkey snipped. :)
