Long distance trail riding
Wed Jan 25, 2012 7:47 am by Wil-If-I-Want
I want to get into endurance riding. I spoke with the ACTRA representatives at their booth at the January Thaw last weekend. I'm trying to find a an email address to contact (as they mentioned) but I'm not finding it.

Any of you involved?

I don't have a trailer but I'm sure I could arrange trailering as FK and I would split the cost as our mares would travel together.

For those of you who …

Thu Jan 26, 2012 5:16 pm by Becca
Hey guys!

I'm looking for some more info and pictures on cowboys sire, tees first venture aka wrangler. I know he was at one of the bigger barns on PEI I am hoping someone has photos kicking around. I think he passed away in 06 shortly after cowboys dam was bred.

Thanks!

Hey guys! I'm looking for some help and opinions on brand names and trailers. I'm looking on buying a trailer within the year and really trying to do all my research to make sure I get exactly what I want and good quality for the price within the maritimes. Just a Rant.
Fri Jan 13, 2012 3:29 pm by TripleCRanch

Same person...but it is fairly obvious in the pictures that the hooves haven't been touched in a long time.

WHY do people do that!

Riding Alone
Wed Aug 31, 2011 8:47 am by Flicka
So I'm sure everyone has heard of what has happened to Peggy Olive, else here is the link to the CBC article on it.

So my husband has become very protective of me, especially with what happened last year with my health. He does not want me riding unless someone is home. Which means I'll very rarely get the chance to ride due to work hours and after work commitments that he and my roommate …

Driving A Horse
Thu Jan 05, 2012 2:41 pm by Wil-If-I-Want
I've always admired cart trained horses.. and always wished I could do so with my mare. I'm finally in a place where financially I can do all the little things I've wanted to do (just have to save up for a little ;) )

I am looking for advice, any and all concerning driving a horse. Ground driving, exercises, what to do, what not to do, and what to avoid when purchasing a harness used or new.

almost falling over-eeek!
Tue Nov 29, 2011 2:47 pm by mackdragon
Went to ride my guy today-I put the saddle on and as always put the cinch just tight enough so he won't lose the saddle from the barn to the indoor.

He scared the beejesus out of me almost falling over in the ties, no balance, front legs going forward, rear legs going back-me yelling at him to stand up, wake up and who knows what else. undo the cinch-catch a breath-barn owner walks in, I …
