| Well, as most of you already know I totally f-ed up with the photography from this weekend's gymnastics competition. I managed to salvage a few photos and have loaded them onto FB. We had a really great time. The girls just thrived on competing and cheering for each other. It always amazes me what they are capable of at such a young age. Needless to say, Kayla is the smallest one. Besides the medals and ribbons that she received she achieved her two goals for the competition. They were to catch the high bar while doing the uneven bars (she's been struggling with that the past month) and to actually stomp onto the springboard hard enough to make it move so she could do the vault. When she made it over on the vault the entire gym went up in a roar. Everyone knows what a challenge it's been for her because she's so light. Needless to say she is STILL a legend in her own mind. After the awards presentation, one of the times that she ran past Gord and I (we barely saw her during the competition - she was either competing, going to the canteen or chasing boys) I said to her, "there you are - I was wondering where you'd gotten to". She replied, "MOM, all you have to do is listen and you can hear me!". You see the bigger girls that she admires always "jingle" when they walk after the presentations because their medals clang together. Because Kayla received 2 medals she was able to join in with the big girls. OH MY NERVES! She's gone to school today with her medals on and the principal made an announcement this morning over the PA about how well she did. https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=57951&id=1202132700&saved#!/photo.php?pid=1245616&id=1202132700&fbid=1391680711018 | |

| I added two pictures today to the FB site. They are AWESOME shots of her getting some "air time". One is her jumping from the low bar to the high bar and the other is of her doing a split leap on the beam (which is only 4" wide I might add). Check 'em out! | |
