AND THE SILVER MEDAL GOES TO ...

Well, we just got back today from Kayla's competition in Gander. It was the largest one she has gone to so far - there were 16 girls in her age/skill level. Usually there's only 6 or 7. And MAN where these kids good. I was in AWE! Kayla did really well. She placed second in the beam, floor and bars events. Didn't place at all in vault. Vault is the thorn in her side because she doesn't weigh enough to actually make the spring board bounce so sort of just jumps up and folds herself over onto the mat. She placed second overall which was amazing because of her low score on the vault. DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT........IT WORKS TERRIFIC......................I WANTED TO BAT A FEW OF THE SPECTATORS ON THE HEAD A COUPLE OF TIMES.......GETTING IN THE WAY OF YOUR VIDEO..............KAYLA did awesome....saw her toes clamped on like eagle talons on the balance beam.............geesh she had some great moves...........love the floor excercise.........was BEWITCHED her music............nice routine......loved her spitz.......great job you remembering to get it all recorded this time............both of you deserve a pat on the back.

Yep - her music was Bewitched. I thought it really suited her. Her coach is fantastic at choosing music that suits the kids. She had a great time and was really proud of herself. She's already told me that at the Provincials she's going to try to get a gold!
