Miss Sophie

Well we decided not to get Sophie ultrasounded but we're fairly confident she is carrying puppies... THE COUNTDOWN IS OFFICIALLY BEGINNING.... 22 days until her due date!!!! w00t w00t!!! She'll be x-rayed a week before to see approximately how many babies are in there. We have our fingers crossed for a smooth delivery.

Don't pay too much attention to her summer hair cut... LOL it isn't particularly flattering!!!









and of course can't forget Lena...

Don't worry about her hair, bronson and Bria both look like they got in a fight with a lawn mower! Bronson is just about bald! haha But he's loving it! I don't care what his hair looks like he's happy as pig in sh*t! ha

There was a female in Toronto bred to the same male - she ultrasounded 11 pups... only one lived *sigh* my stress level is increasing by the day. Sophie will be xrayed on the 16th so stay tuned for hopefully a puppy count

oh boy........thats not exactly a great outcome.........shoot............everything is crossed for betterr news for Sophie.

Was that the other female's first litter? Was she older?

Hopefully she makes it that far...big dogs can go early can't they?

It was the female's second litter and she is 4 years old...

Sophie is starting to udder up a bit and she just about stays glued to my side...she sure doesn't look very big though. Duke's mother looked like a house before she whelped and Sophie doesn't even look like a mini barn...

She is due the 22nd and we're kind of anticipating having puppies by then... from my experience dogs tend to whelp pretty close to their due dates...they don't keep us in suspense the way horses do

Hope all is well with goofy Sophie! Tim said that she was not her old self the other day. Keep us posted!

Sophie had better not keep us in suspense the way the yellow bananas did. THAT was WAY too painful!

Looks like we're going to have 4 puppies! Not quite the number I was hoping for but she's a first time Mama so atleast she'll be able to keep a watchful eye on all of her children! Now lets just hope for an uneventful delivery and healthy puppies!!!

Oh that is exciting! How on earth did you keep Sophie still enough for xrays? Maybe you got her to lay down and put someone's face level with her's and let her lick them?

So how many day till she has her little ones?

Yay for puppies!! Hopefully she will have a few extra :P I find in most of the x-rays we take there are usually a couple hidden.

I can't wait to see these little balls of fluff. Mind you, they won't be "little" for long. Here's hoping for an uneventful time for Sophie!
