| Well everyone, they have found out FINALLY what is wrong with me. It isn't pleasant
I had a Upper GI Test on Tuesday last week. I had to go into the doctor at the Wolfville Walk In Clinic Thursday evening for something un-related to my sickness. My doctor had results from the GI test already and she knew I was coming to the clinic and brought the results to let me know.
Good news is I am not dying but the bad news is I have Crohns Disease. My doctor is sending me to a GI specialist in Kentville to put me on proper meds.
Atleast this explains my uber swollen ankles, lethargy and weakness. I'm off work until further notice. My doctor said when I get on the medications and start gaining energy then I will know when to go back. Might as well take the rest of the summer off!!! | |

| That's what I was afraid of. My daughter-in-law has it and also a cousin and they live full active lives. You'll be fine girl, just let the meds run their course. Love ya girl!! If you want to talk to my D-I-L I'll set the two of you up on facebook. It helps to talk to someone that has it. I'm so glad they FINALLY figured it all out for you!! | |

| I was wondering if you had gotten your test results back. Definitely not the best news but on the bright side, with the problem found, you can now get started on the proper treatment and be on the road to feeling better. Thinking of you!!!! | |

| Good that you found out what the problem is... now you can move forward with healing. Alot of people learn how to manage crohn's and lead fairly regular lives. I'm sure in the beginning it will likely be a bit of a challenge.. but you can handle it. Stay positive. My step dad has crohn's... he has managed very well. Wishing you lots of luck and good days ahead!! | |

| Not the best news, but could be alot worse. Crohn's runs in my husbands family both his sister, grandmother and two aunts. On a good note his grandmother is 94 and has only just more into a nurseing home she broke her hip. So once under control the sky is the limit. Hope you start feeling better soon. :111get_well_so | |

| Wow, at least you got some answers. Finally. Makes you wonder what some doctors get paid for. My friend Jodi has the same thing. She manages it very well and has been doing really good the last few years. My best advice from seeing it first hand is keep your stress to a minimum. Follow your doctors advice and stick to what they tell you! Sorry to hear the news but I'm sure once you learn more you will be able to manage it well enough ! | |
