I finally rode Indy!!

Tonight I decided that it was time I finally got on Indy :D I had no idea what he would do with me being so heavy, but I figured I would never know unless I tried. He was such a good boy! The only reaction I got out of him was some licking and chewing :D I even walked him around a little bit, and he couldn't have been better! It was only the fourth time I had been on a horse in the last two years. I've got alot of weight to lose before I make it a regular thing, but it sure has given me some motivation!! :D Here are a couple of pictures...

I too have not allowed myself to enjoy my horse as much as I should , because of my weight .

I rode my friend's horse on Monday. 3rd time I have been on a horse in 13 years. I rode in my new to me Stubben and it was heaven. I am also heavy and the mare was fine. The owner actually asked me to show her in a couple of classses @ a local show @ the end of the month. Thinking about it. HMMM

I don't think that the horses are as caught up in weight issues as we humans. You look great up there! Enjoy him - that's what you have him for. Don't let our society's twisted take on weight issues interfere with the bond you have with your boy.

I am sure it felt good being up in the saddle again. Did you know that you burn about 400 cal in one hour riding. Something to think about.

You two look awesome. You should ride more often. I know riding helps me burn calories!
