Faline finally foaled, Day 351, Bay tobiano/tovero colt (cant remember if white has to cross the back for tobiano, very sleep deprived right now) foaled at just before 4am this morning. Currently barn named Chip since he has some "chip marks" unlike his solid bay dam (PP No Chip Marks) a mare by Lucky Diamond Chip.

This afternoon I put mom and baby out in arena so I could clean stall, snapped a few new pics while they were out there.

Very cute! And about damn time! He looks like an overo to me! And since daddy is an overo and doesn't carry to tobiano gene the colt can't be a tovero (the expression of both the overo and tobiano gene together - yeah I'm a bit of a genetics geek hehe). Can't wait to see more pictures of the little fellow!

He sure is a cutie...love the bay and overos are my favorite.....shh..don't tell the tobis, I said that!!! Congrats, Syl!!!!

He is definitely a sweet boy! I also have to comment on what a beautiful face his mama has.. I have seen pics of her before and I never noticed just how pretty her face is. Maybe its the mothering instinct shining through..She look s like she is a wonderful attentive mom. Great to see that mom and baby are doing well.
