| This morning Chris and I made the decision to put my 14 yr old Springer Spaniel to sleep. She would have been 15 in March, and her health was starting to go downhill. She lost a ton of weight over the last while, her hind end was starting to give out, and she was very arthitic, so we figured it would be best to end her suffering. It's killing me that I'll never get another smooch from her, never get to cuddle with her on the couch again, won't have her following me when I go to bed at night. I miss her so much already, and it's only been a few hours. The vet at the college who saw her this morning gave us a pawprint of hers in clay, which is wonderful to have.
