Well! we made it safe and sound. Horses loaded no problem at all (even with bells on their legs haha) we were innovative and wrapped their back legs in plastic wrap so they wouldn't get full of pooh!

The ending was kinda scary.. the girls weren't keen on separating from all the other horses.. and then people were STUPID I'm talking a woman standing with a stroller with a 1yr old child just staring a FOOT away from a freaking out horse...... I was not impressed..

Anyway we got the horses on with all the sirens, lights, music, and 2398759 people.

The parade people were all over the place and we weren't allowed in on the street we were trying to... so I had the bright idea of unloading on the street in front of my boyfriends house. Which is a block from the school. The neighbours were in shock I think and were all watching with huge smiles and asking to pet them. Here I am in front of the house

Love how you dressed them in the red & green wraps and those little bows on the mane & forelock are really pretty. Nice of you to take them in the parade & let them show off!

Good job - the horses look great. A parade is not an easy thing to do either - way to go.

I am wondering if your trailer is a Brockmann and what you think of it?

The parade was huge.... balloons, screaming people, sirens, dogs.. and when we weren't below the street lights it was very dark...There were a few times I was worried because I was thinking about all the "what ifs" I got mad at a few people like the idiot who popped a balloon beside my horse.. and the woman who was hauling her child in a wagon directly beside me chatting on her cell phone instead of realizing her kid could get run over. I wasn't expecting such this to be such a BIG event.. I've been in parades but nothing like this..... on the other hand Willow did not spook once at anything. She was very good

I'm not sure what the trailer is - the neighbours lent it to me. I can ask though!

I really like it. Super light weight, doesn't need a big truck to haul it. The ramp is very lightweight as in can take it down and put it up with one hand. The tack compartment is small.. has 2 saddle racks but a western wouldn't fit on either. The divider can be taken out or you can slide it over very, very easily. If I was to purchase a trailer I would want something similar.

The only thing I thought was a little tricky was that when leading the horse on to the drivers side its a tight fit to squeeze around the front to the passenger side.. fine for a horse that will load by leading it on the other side though. Loading a horse on to the passenger side is easier.. I just took the chest bar down.. walked Flicka in.. then stepped out the door.. put the chest bar up then tied her.

Thanks for the info. German built I am sure and a Brockmann similar to the Brenderups. Web site is www.maplelaneequestriantrailers.com

I have their brochure but I believe the closest dealer is outside of Ottawa in Ontario. Last time we were in Ottawa visiting we could not find the business and voice mail told us they were out of town - maybe next time. Would love to actually see one up close. Hard to buy used as no one wants to part with them.
