| I'm sure all of us do at some point buy halters...
anyways! I was wondering about those "new" Rainbow colored ones. Kasper came with one but its faded badly and I was going to buy him a new one. (I did not know he had one when I was looking for one... haha... I thought it would look good on his coloring) I was talking to his owner and she said that they do fade and fast. and I was wondering if anybody else had/has one and if it has faded...

| can't help you there. I don't like and don't buy nylon halters.. only leather.. although I do have one nylon with a leather crown piece.. only use this to lead in and out of the barn.. never any other time and it's never left on him.. | |

| Do you mean the Accent halters with the graduating color? We've had great success with them - they have a different kind of clasp that horses don't seem to be able to break easily and they don't seem to lose their color either. | |

| we have one for Thunder but I haven't put the extra holes he needs in it yet. The only thing I can tell you is that after a year in the tack locker and not seeing the light of day, it hasn't faded one bit! :doglaugh.gif: | |

| I've seen someone have one of those on their horse... and you're right, it did fade fast. You probably only will get 3 months wear out of it before all the colours fade to a pastel that blends together, lol!
D-Cutch, I'm an all leather girl too ;) ooh, that sounds naughty! I never leave an all nylon or rope halter on my horse unattended. I think the crown piece should always be leather if you're leaving it on them- an all nylon halter is strong enough to pick up a car and will not break unlike leather, and it's a recipe for a huge vet bill or disaster if the horse gets caught on something....

| see, I don't have that problem... just last fall I went though atleast 3 different nylon halters with sandy and some were heavy duty. she kept breaking them somehow. one she riped all the holes out on the crown. | |
