WHO GOT ALL THE ROTTEN WEATHER??????

I battened down the hatches, locked up everything in sight, put all ponies in the barn and shut and bolted the doors........I was expecting 30 or so mm hard driving rain and bottom end of the lasouette winds.............nothing...........now everyone is back outside wondering WHATS UP WITH MY HEAD.

It started here just a bit ago.. acutally on my way to work it started pouring.. hard to see on the highway.. gonna be an interesting day!

did the river get a chance to recede at all Wissy????? how is Firebug doing?

I can hear the wind howling but the building isnt shaking yet (live on the top floor of an apartment building - only 3 floors so its not too bad but when the wind really gets going you can tell!!) and from the little corrner of my window i can see the rain looks like it is comming down at a steady pace... havent gotten brave enough yet to move so I can actually look though Lol

yes Joan the river did receed some.. but it most likely will rise again today if we get all the rain they say, it's just a wait and see ..

I think we got all the miserable weather...

The rain is pounding down here and the wind is just a howling... which means we're going to have even MORE of a mud hole...how lovely!

Thanks Just Joan for your kind thoughts. Been really hectic here with the
house flooded, but the river has gone down a little and I'm hoping we
don't get too much rain all at once. Like you, I've bundled the horses in the
barn. The winds are coming up and rain was heavy when I went to work.
Sirens were going off everywhere in my area this morning. Hope everyone
else in the area are O.K as well.

I just put everybody back in the barn..........the rain is just pounding down and the wind is pushing it hard. :affraid: ...sure hope your sump pumps keep going Firebug.

My husband is home today to do some work downstairs and he'll keep an
eye on the sump pumps today. That's a relief. Been just a little stressed
the last couple of days. I went home early yesterday to do mopping and
cleaning up. Been very tired and back hurts all over from moving buckets
of water from the shop vac. Things will look up soon I'm sure.

It is pouring and windy and DARK here. Mine did not get out at their usual time but I'm hoping it will slack off this afternoon. I can't remember the last night I saw bright, blue sky. 5 days ago I think. I need to get my turnouts cleaned up but the old hay weights a TON from all the rain.

OK, don't send any evil thoughts my way ... but we're actually having a SUNNY day and it's about 10 degrees. And get this - NO WIND !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe it. Figures it'd be nice the day I have to drive into St. John's with Kayla for gymnastics. :x
