Kid update :)

Since the babies have taken so much of my time I havent posted Kid updates lately, Freva gets to catch his progress onliine but will share here for the rest. He was backed and saddled a couple times a month or so ago but havent done anything with him for the last 3 weeks. Today Bailey and her friends wanted to go riding but only the geldings were available, Mares with foals arent ready to go distances yet and the other mares are in training so the guests got the 2 available geldings and bailey grabbed kid, they putted around in the indoor for a couple min then headed out the road and walked to the back field. Kid was a champ, took the lead and stayed at a walk even when the other 2 did some cantering and gallops. You'd still never know he's a stallion. So proud of how well he's doing. Once he grows a bit more I'll start riding him lightly, Bailey is still a few pounds (ok so more than a few, lol) lighter than me so she's no strain on him.




gonna have to wash his socks as he's always dirty from the knees down, the rest of him he keeps pretty clean but when I'm not looking he must crawl around on his knees as they're always ground in with muck. lol

He's looking great. She's pretty brave to ride him outside without a saddle after being off for 3 weeks

you've obviously not met bailey, lol she think of tack as optional, sometimes its bridleless and saddleless.

Kid is looking good - how old is he now?? And how tall is he? He looks like a pretty chunky boy :D

He's just a hair over 14.1 at the withers but 14.3 at the rump, he's going through one of those uneven growth spurts. He's officially 2 this month, Wont be doing anything major with him other than walking around till later this summer then hope to have him ready for walk trot class at the September Paint show.
