This is awful to ask but I am new to the colt/gelding thing.

I looked under my colt yesterday to see if the boys had dropped cause I want to get him to the college to be gelded in the next week or so. I did notice something but it was about the size of a walnut maybe. Would that be a normal size? He is going to be 2 in June. I just don't know if I am imagining what I saw or not.

some can be quite small, best thing if he'll stand for you to do it is to reach there and see if you can feel 2 of them walnuts in side the little sack, sometimes they can be quite tight up to the body but you need both down for normal gelding otherwise it's more costly to find the other inside for removal. If he's cold they'll be held closer to the body but usually if he's warm they'll hang down a little easier to see/feel.

Thanks. I am not worried, just don't want to be surprised when I take him to the AVC to be gelded and come out with an $800 + bill. Sorry for the silly question, never had a boy before so...

But you rub/brush his belly the walnut disappeared so I think he sucked them back up. Want to get them snipped sooner rather than later so he can heal and his nice mild disposition stays that way. he is so sweet. My little puppy dog
