McGregor...

Well he seems to have come out of his second bout of colic... hopefully this is it. He lasts about 24 hours after we give him the banamine - hopefully he'll just keep right on trucking past the 24h4 mark this time...

any updates on the little guy? Colic is sooo scarey and sooo painful for the critters. When we had our nasty bout of it here we did alot of belly massaging and some pepto bismol. The Cdn mare had to have banamine eventually because she was so exhausted from being in so much pain. I hope things are improving for the little fella. Give him some special love from our gang!

so how is he doing????

He seems to have beat it although we thought we had it beat after the first episode and then came the second...

It has really taken alot out of him... he lost alot of weight in the course of a couple days and his eyes are quite sunken but despite looking horrible his belly is back to a normal size and he tried head bunting me yesterday all the while trying to run out of his stall... yes, I know unacceptable behaviour but that is "typical" of the little trouble maker....

Thank goodness he's alright.. head bunting is a good sign.. poor little bugger.. some extra TLC will have him back to good form in no time..

THANK GOODNESS !!!! Hopefully he's over this episode and will be back to his old self soon. Sounds like he's off to a good start ... saucy little mini!
