The Ladies

As most of you know, our ladies favorite past time is standing around the feeder eating. In the winter we keep at least 2 filled so the will at least waddle between the 2. Just to prove they can move, even run, I managed to get some pictures over the weekend when they were in a silly mood.

Look how dry it is already there. I'm a bit jealous. Everytime it starts to dry up here we get a bit of rain to mess it up.

Moochie is is my favorite, next to Veda that is How is Veda doing? If she's depressed, tell her to come to my place for some snuggles.

Looks like the girls were having a good time kicking up their feet! I still think you and Fred should give me Lady :P I'll treat her real good :P

umm Val I hate to tell you this but I think Moochie is going to explode .. omg she's big.. hahaha.. the rest look amazing and your ground is dry.. what's up with that.. ours is still mushy..

Looks like the girls are enjoying all the sunshine. The ground looks REALLY dry at your place. Can't wait to see what the babes look like this year :)

We have had a beautiful warm stretch of weather and Fred drags the yard daily to help keep it smooth and to help it dry...we had oodles of mud and it is raining again today so I am sure there will be plenty more. The girls really enjoyed soaking up the rays. Because he is in the yard with the tractor the horses don't get too excited about machinery...he drove right by Jewel and I think she might have mustered enough energy to open at least one eye to check it out...that was about it!!! As for Veda, she is doing well. We turned her back in with the group and she spent a while searching but Ruby finally came up to her and looked directly into her eyes and then started nuzzling her neck..sort of like she knew Veda needed a friend. In no time they were scratching each others necks..quite touching...and they call them dumb animals!!!!!! Mooch is quite "round" but Kandee is actually next to foal.

They are all so pretty can't wait to see the babies this year

I'm surprized they didn't all foal when they ran. What HUGE bellies they have! I'd love to be there to be able to rub some of them ...

Hi Freva,hope your keeping well. I am a big fan of your photo's,I just love the colour of Veda as i metioned on trotontv before.Grula is the colour but did i spell it right. I had a lesson in western ridindg yesterday no stirrups,no reins just using my buttercup and the guy Michael sending mare away using body language.It was great but my poor legs and buttercup are sore today. Michael runs a western style school and Breaks his horses the natural way.He is the president of the irish quater and paint horse in ireland and has imported appy's,quater and paint horses from america.I am going back tomorrow with a friend for a trek so will take some pic's.Talk soon.B

First off.. I adore the pics of your mares, fat bellies and all.. running around.. what a sight! I think I am in love with Ruby.. Her coloring is so beautiful I love roaning.

And Bernadette.... seems there is some sort of editing program that changes all the "swear" words to a flower of some sort... its cute. Makes me laugh too.

Mares look great, cant wait for summer pics of mares/foals, gonna be a beautiful bunch.
