lous first day out in a longggggggggg time

we had a great ride (thanks kim for the pick up ) and lou was great minus the jumpbuck when the killer ducks flew at us (any excuse for a buck)
and I love bells on bikes these 3 bikes came up behind us we never heard them at all, and the guy rang the bell for a warning it was great did not startle the horses (love the mariner atv club for making the rules that all atv stop and shut engines off works great too
but when we came across those 3 same bike that rode past lou with no issue
they must grow teeth when they stop because she gave them a hard look and a big space lol
I really like trails

Missylou, where is this trail at?? Seems like everybody was working together for a safe ride...kudos to the bicycle riders ringing their bells and for ATV stopping! It's great fun to be able to share trails with different modes of transportation. Although I hear from people (here in HRM) who are scared of horses and don't like to smell their poop (even if it's kicked to the side in the woods) and prefer to not have them on ANY trails...sad.

Wow.. looks like a great trail.. ummmm love to go too.. we've talked about it alot and even took the 4 wheelers on the trail in Tantallon and went all the way to East Chester.. nice trail.. should put that on my bucket list for this summer!

its in porters lake and it is managed by the marineriders atv group the are awsome!!!! they have made it safe to ride these trails they have set down what to do when you meet a horse pull to side and shut down machines and take off helmets
unless you tell them other wise this is what happens every time
we just ask them to drive by slow as we are so used to them
they have worke with us on 2 of the nsef trail rides you could not ask for a better group they want to arrange a poker run with them on atv and nsef
would love to have you down to ride any time just let me know lots of parking and a beautiful ride
and to add they partol these trail and should we ever run in to a rouge atv or dirtbike not following the rules we just have to tell them and they will hunt them down and double up the partols until they do

now if we could just get the dog owners to kick their poop of the trail all would be great

nice trail......and happy for you all that they patrol and help to keep things on an even keel..............the patrols we have out here are Military SEARCH & RESCUE helicopters.............and the logging trucks..............but it makes for a fun ride home!!!!!!!!!!!
