RATHER ODD SORT OF A DAY WITH GOOD BITS.

C4B had been working with Cindyrelly(sexy dexy) on doing some clandestine picture taking at the Auction to see if they could add any more weight to the abuse project she is currently working on with the SPCA non action problem.
Anyway, I;m up and fed everyone by 6....Carol arrives around 7.30 we spend a couple of minutes figuring out how to attach the trailer to the truck and we are OFF......we have many tunes, lots of CHOCOLATE, some grapes and god knows what else.......I have to stop at the bank to get a little more cash so I can do a direct deposit into Paint Lady's account for my new to me saddle.......seems easy so far right.........ok.....we are cruising along......ah.....you are now asking, why are we taking the trailer........NOT TO PICK UP HORSES(well at least C4B hasnt mentioned that bit to me yet), but to pick up Hay.......Cindyrelly has located some for us...........so we will get gas just off the other side of the causeway bridge..........carol starts the truck up and there is this ROAR........shit....so, not much we can do........oh yeah, forgot about the lights on the trailer and Sam chasing us down the road............now I am all confused..........and Carol has to stop to get some drugs cause her shoulder hurts........the truck is screaming so you cant play any music or sing cause you would have to do it at STUN.....Carol has directions from Cindyrelly and we are going along just fine apart from the amount of gas the truck is consuming and the noise.........as Cape Bretoners we ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE.......LAST TURN TO HALIFAX SIGN......do not go this way, you will end up in BEAVER CROTCH............New brusnwick.....so we get off and head for exit 12.....now the instructions say its a long off ramp and takes you back over the highway.............ok that was the first clue..........short and under.....we turn right, I know how to read, and if I can see the paper I can read the words nearly, pretty good, but they are double so I have to concentrate, but i HAVE NOT TURNED STUPID.......anyway,,,,,,,,,,we go down aways trying to figure out how we are going to turn this rig around..........Carol is doing great driving forward really...........but we have had no time for reversing yet......so we go throught this really nice houses circular driveway with a big picture window in the front.......I could see the whites of their eyes popping out of their heads as we went around between the two lovely birch trees..............so obvioulsy we are lost, and Carol has not written down Cindyrellys phone number, and there is no pen in the truck....... I wont tell you what there is millions of though.......as she is calling rob to look for the number I have mine ready to punch in as he is telling us........well the friendliest voice arrives on the phone, and I say hello....we are lost........she says what highway are you on..........can you guess what I say.....apparently we were not supposed to get off and go towards Halifax, we were supposed to stay on and go towards New Brunswick and look for exit 12.........ok, thank god we found a park and go place with not too many cars in it, so we managed to swing around and get going to Cindys place.....I should have added also that its pissing down by now, and I also have not made it to the bank like I promised Paint Lady to transfer the money......so I call and tell her whats happening and that I will get there soon......she has already put the saddle on the bus and I did not want her to think I was an asshole...........we cant get up Cindys driveway, so park on the road............what a FABULOUS SPOT our Cindyrelly has, you can see the sea from her porch........greeen fields all around and a fabulous not so little house with millions of doors and PURPLE CARPET in the livingroom that she promised I could have for the bedroom part of the bunkhouse........her home is beautiful and not a spot of anything anywhere and she is running around like a loon apologising for god only knows what........she put out a lovely lunch for us which I ate like my throat had been cut for a while.we met all her ponies and her latest Hubba.......everyone there will have a great life for sure.......nice place to retire.............so, we leave to go to the auction...........just our luck......or maybe it was really good.........but no horses anywhere......so off we go to get hay over at the agricultural college..........oh shit woah...........I forgot the best part of leaving Cindys...........now Carol has to back up the road to a Y junction so she can spin around..........I headed for the high ground....I got in the trailer..........and Cindy gave instructions...........after a few curses (from me) it went pretty well...........we loaded 60 bales into the trailer and had tons of room left over........by this time we thought we would go get some exhaust tape and try to fix it and go to the bank and do the transfer......Carol stayed with the truck the kid took me in her snazzy yellow car to the bank and then canadian tire.............we get back and its still raining, I throw a couple of coats under the truck and seeing as how no one else is volunteering to go I crawl under and start taping it up...............I used two rolls of tape, spent quite some time wrapping and fixing it........it really looked good..........started up the truck it sounded really good........oh it wasnt the pipe I wrapped, there was a plate on the end that the welding had come undone......so we say our goodbyes to the kid and head off........we were not on the road 5 seconds and Carol says........there goes your tape job flying down the road....the truck went back to roaring and Carol had to fill up twice on the way home.........so dont let anyone ever tell you that your muffler/exhaust system has nothing to do with gas consumption............but we had a great day.............wooooooo hoooooooo :cowboyhound.gi :roll: :roll: :roll:

OH MY GAWD JJ that was a priceless story....I think if my crew hook up for a raod trip with your crew we would have to be escorted by the RCMP....we be a CONVOY for sure...hahahaa

Joan, you forgot about my "eye candy" taking over the helm and backing the trailer into the hay shed. God love him or we would have been dragging bales out to the parking lot.

dont know HOW I COULD HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT PART.........he sure was soft on the eyes........and can turn a rig...........what more could you want..............hahaha

oh my god and I had to work.. wishing I was there.. well maybe not .. heheheh.. good story JJ.. only you could make it sound like you were having a grand time.. when it at times was dicey..doesn't Dexy have a grand place.. her horses are sure a lucky bunch.. She certainly is a cinderelly.. for sure..
Well Joan at least you made an effort to tape up the problem even if it only lasted a short bit.. lol.. I would have loved to hear you gabbing on about that as you were under the truck.. lol.. would never have made out a word you said but it would have been interesting

I told her we should have let eye candy take care of it. He would have had that thing welded back together in 5 minutes I would have gave it a go under there but I thought my boobs might have gotten stuck.

Yes Dexy good thing you didn't get under that truck then there would have been a whole set of new problems.. hope they had a jack in the truck somewhere..

So glad i left the story telling to JJ, she has a gift hahahahahaha.

Don't know if i was disappointed or relived there were no horses there, but i do feel we need pictorial evidence to carry on the fight, do we have any volunteers to try and visit on a regular basis untill we get the pics we need, it really is too far to keep coming down from cape Breton, i would do but cannot get much more time off from work.

I am going to have a reversing lesson with the trailer on sunday, i will never hear the last of it, :devil5.gif: it took me 15mins to drive back about 100yds, and 3 shunts forward, but i was stressed, SD was outside trying to direct me in pouring rain, there mosquitos the size of bald eagles trying to get in the truck, JJ in the trailer screaming words of abuse about me heading for the ditch i was a mile away from hahahahahahah and the windows kept steaming up, steam from my ears i think, so a lesson is needed hahahahahahahaha.

SD thank you for the fantastic lunch, and it was great to see your lovely place and meet you ponies!!!!! will come again with ponies for a ride to the beach.

I can't skip up there no problem each week. I used to go weekly but then it got to depressing so I stopped. But I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I can't wait till you guys come down for a ride to the beach. We may want to make it a fall excursion so the "bald eagles" don't make off with us. After the little bastards die off it is lovely outside. Gotta get that mosquito magnet :devil5.gif:
