The new ride

so as some know, i took a "vacation" from horses as you could say.. i thought i could give it up but just couldn't only after one month..
my friend michelle messaged me asking if i wanted to come riding with her and ended up falling in love with her horse nickos. (or better known as ninkcomepoop :) ) nick is an eight year old 16.1hh AQHA (janes red steel mix) gelding originally from Alberta. he's hunter trained. a bit out of the loop so i'll be working him back up over the summer and possibly entering some shows in september. i've been debating on if i want to do the canada day shows to see where we stand and just show over summer anyways, or if i want to school hardcore over summer then just enter one or two end of season.. hrrmmm decisions! anyways enough blabbing, here's the boy :)

Welcome back Becca, nice to see you back and in the land of horses again.. once it's in your blood there's no getting it out.. you eventually end back at some point in time.. now don't you feel better..lol

thanks guys! he's deffinitly a huge lapdog thats for sure. i'm so happy to be back in the saddle.. when i wasn't riding deffinitly felt like a huge part of me was missing, and nick is filling the hole pretty well ;) his canter is not the easiest to ride too but i'm getting used to it (and trying to get back into riding shape same time where i was out for a month)

we're going in the embarr schooling show july 18th, and the 19th & 20th we are doing the dennis mahoney clinic. i hope i don't embarrass myself too much in the show being completely out of the loop :P hopefully the clinic will help us out a lot, i'm in desprite need of some coaching to say the least and where i haven't jumped in over a year i don't want to start jumping till i've had a few lessons at the least.. i've heard nothing but excellent things about Dennis so i'm very excited :)

i'm hoping to drag a friend out this weekend to snap some photos of us so will update then!

Glad you decided to stay in the horses.....It is in you for sure.
