I’ve got a great recipe for any equine that may not be drinking as much as you’d like them to for any reason. Try this:

Crush up, or dissolve white peppermints in some water, add some table salt and molasses. Add to a bucket of water and throw a handful of crimped oats on the top. Stir it up.

Voila! The oats really gets them interested and keeps them interested and drinking more, just to get the ones on the bottom. I just gave this to my mare and Sailor Girl's gelding and it sounded like two people taking a bath--splish splash! They LOVED it!

A friend of mine had a very sick donkey and this stuff was the ONLY thing the donkey would drink!

This REALLY works! Pass it on!
