New Addition - Fiesta

Well figured I should post some pictures of the new girl for everyone to see. Her name is Fiesta (Fiesta Cheyenne) and is a Registered Sorrel Overo APHA mare and is bred to the handsome Laddy (Coosa King) of Freva's. She is due May 18th (if she makes it that long!) she is VERY wide, and is a sweet ol gal.

I can hardly wait to see the baby too! We are all hoping for a red dun overo filly ;) Probably end up with a solid chestnut colt lol. Her new owner is VERY excited about the baby and the mare :D She beeps and we are thinking about installing a flashing amber light on her butt too and a "Caution Wide Turns" sign on her tail lol. Hopefully we will have the foal cam up and running a few weeks before her due date (so the beginning of May :D)

I'm thinking MAY is an awful long way off!!!!!!! plan B should be printed and hanging in the barn just in case..............hahahaha.......,

ha... Can you imagine being that wide! Hopefully for her sake she'll go a bit early.

ohhh she's very pretty.. and by the size of that belly.. thinks it's gonna be a big foal.. lol.. hope she goes sooner than later.. surely that foal is large enough by now.. !!

I gave her a pep talk just before she left about having another red dun overo filly...hope she took it to heart. Fiesta is a total sweetheart. She is going to just love all the attention she will get from Crystal ( Foundation Mom) and MB. She looks very content in her new home...that makes me very happy!!

Well I would like her to make it into May so she doesn't have a pre-mature foal :P She is MIGHTY wide though lol

She was the cutest thing standing there when I went out over the weekend, I was WATCHING the baby move, man if that poor thing comes out kicking like that shes gonna have a runner thats for sure! HA! *crosses fingers for red dun overo filly* I kept putting my hand on her to feel it move and Fiesta kinda turned around and looked at me at one point like "do you mind that really is annoying....stop antagonizing the little brat!" I love those looks. She looks like shes 90 months pregnant but the baby is moving....quite frequently so I think we're all hoping that the baby may make an early debut, but not too early. Poor girl takes all the teasing in stride as long as she gets groomed and talked to. I stood there just talking to her and blowing in her nose and she was falling asleep...then the brushing...oh the shedding, I swear shes shedding for 2!

Once the foal is weaned or old enough, she is going to start being worked, get some muscle built up, and if she is able to (and only if) she will be backed to be ridden BAREBACK only! She says thank you for the comments on how beautiful she is, but she says she already knows, her mama and Auntie MB tell her all the time :3719-thumb.JPG (even though MB tells her more often shes a wide load but she has a thick skin!) I'm sure MB will keep the pics coming :) (do that would you MB hehe)

Well I have been thinking long and hard and I had asked MB to not say anything and god love her she hasn't with the "new owner" thing and all. I have decided I will trust the ME crew with my "secret". As Freva will tell you I have been teasing her for a LONG time with how much I loved Fiesta and spoke for this baby when Fiesta was like 2 months preggers. She then came to me with the prospect of also having Fiesta, which I jumped on. So, I am now very proudly announcing to JUST the ME crew that I am the "new owner" MB speaks of. My family, and boyfriend don't know which is why I asked her not to say anything, but I trust you guys so SURPRISE! I finally got my paints I plan on waiting until the foal is born and weaned and gently breaking Fiesta to be ridden bareback and then show the baby. I'm sure some of you figured it out pretty quickly who the new owner was but graciously didn't assume out loud lol I have leased out Ginger to a man who has adored her for a long time and just wanted to say she was his and will be retired on a huge field. I have access to her anytime I want and she is just gonna be happy and pudgy :) So anyway, yahoo!

Congrats! She is a very pretty mare (even that wide). Can't wait to see the baby. :congratulation

Loves Color - Believe it or not shes WIDER in person....the pics make her look smaller!

LB - I love all Laddy's babies but there was something about Fiesta I have always been in love with so the combination is going to be perfect, even if its a solid :)
